KidzCare Jeans for Kids a huge success!!!

Here’s a wrap-up on the recent Jeans for Kids campaign to collect jeans for children in need around North County. We were blessed with an overwhelming success! KidzCare and their parents did an outstanding job on this project, along with support from many other donors. A special thanks to the staff at San Diego National Bank, 2520 El Camino Real, Carlsbad for setting up a display to promote the collection and being a drop site for donations!
Thanks again for your support of Jeans for Kids! Our final count of jeans donated was just over 1100 pair. And Solutions for Change was delighted with the “boutique” set up for thier kids to select their own jeans!
The results of this campaign were overwhelming to say the least. We were blessed with many times more jeans than could have been hoped for. The “dream” was to provide jeans to all the resident children at Solutions and hopefully share with other resident children in North County. Somewhere along the lines of 200 pair would have been considered a success. As a result of the overwhelming outpouring of our families we were able to share with the residents and graduates at Solutions as well as families served by many other agencies. The last of the jeans have finally found a home and will hopefully be picked up this week.

The level of excitement of this program was amazing. Our kids and their families are incredibly generous. It touches my heart to see their enthusiasm in supporting kids in need. And it is an honor to work with you as their leaders.
